Milwaukee, WI – Fostering Futures of Wisconsin is proud to announce the award of nine grants through The Violet Society Grants program, aimed at advancing trauma-informed care initiatives across the state. The grants were presented at the organization's annual luncheon on May 22, 2025 — Wisconsin's official Trauma-Informed Care Day.
This year, The Violet Society awarded $58,000. The money is raised at the annual Violet Society Luncheon by its members and guests. The Violet Society is the backbone of Fostering Futures. It is a group of compassionate women who support our Grants with an annual financial contribution of $1,000. Membership is open to all women who care about the health and well-being of Wisconsin's children and families.
The following organizations received grants: STRYV365 Milwaukee, WI; James Place - Community Resource Centers of ElmBrook Church, Brookfield, WI; Safe Families for Children Wisconsin, Elkhorn, WI; Hope Street Ministries, Inc., Milwaukee, WI; Hebron Housing Services, Pewaukee, WI, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee, Milwaukee WI, Family Resources Center St. Croix Valley, Baldwin, WI, Hometown Heroes, Inc., Grafton, WI, Journey21, Inc. Oconomowoc, WI.
The Violet Society Grants program supports innovative projects that promote healing, resilience, and trauma-informed practices in Wisconsin’s communities. The nine grant recipients, selected through a competitive process, represent diverse organizations dedicated to fostering a more compassionate and supportive Wisconsin.
On this special day dedicated to trauma-informed care, we are honored to recognize these organizations for their critical work in supporting individuals and families impacted by trauma. These grants will help build stronger, more resilient communities across the state.
